What is Finsnickeri?
We are a Bozeman, Montana-based home decor studio founded by us, Kurt and Denise Palmquist, with a shared vision of creating unique, visually impactful pieces that celebrate the art of fine woodworking. Our name, "Finsnickeri," is a nod to Kurt’s Swedish heritage, translating to "fine woodworking" or "cabinetmaking"—a tradition of precision and integrity that guides everything we build. We are deeply committed to crafting home decor that blends the rugged, inspiring landscape of Montana with a personal, artisan touch. Because we believe that true quality cannot be mass-produced, we personally design and build every item, utilizing premium materials like repurposed exotic tone woods that carry their own unique stories. When you bring a piece of Finsnickeri into your space, you aren't just acquiring decor; you are welcoming a heartfelt creation born from our passion, our craftsmanship, and our dedication to bringing warmth and beauty into your everyday life.
Our Finsnickeri Decor Commitment
The term "Finsnickeri" reflects our dedication to fine woodworking, and a tradition of Swedish precision and exclusivity that connects with my heritage and family ties. Through our work, Denise and I aim to evoke a sense of warmth, authenticity, and lasting beauty, inviting you to surround yourself with meaningful pieces that reflect both artistry and honesty.
We are committed to sustainability by repurposing materials in innovative ways, and through our meticulous craftsmanship, we strive to create products that not only elevate a space but also bring a sincere connection between maker and owner. Our friendly, heartfelt, and personal approach offers a meaningful alternative in the home decor market, where quality and story matter just as much as style.
